Last Minute Cruise Deals

It is kind of funny really. Since my wife and I have been back now from our Alaska cruise I have received a couple of last minute cruise deals from Princess Cruise Lines. Now I realize they are in the business to sell cruises but I must say…

…these are some very nice cruise deals. One of the offers is for a 7 day cruise starting at $149. It is true this would be an interior stateroom for that type of price. And the email offer doesn’t try to hide this fact either. Naturally one would still be spending money on air travel.

Would I one day take Princess up on such an inexpensive deal? Possibly.

Here’s why. I learned on this last cruise that there is so much to do on the ship that one need never get bored. If you did get bored it is your own fault with such diverse activities available. For instance, there are art auctions, theater, swimming, movies, libraries, lounges, performers of all sorts and staff initiated events too.

A discount cruise deal doesn’t mean some low end cruise. Not at all. Every cruise still has all the amenities, the discount merely comes because the cruise line is trying to fill empty staterooms. They know discount buyers will probably buy other goods and services. And they will. Why not with such savings already under the belt?

And the cruise fare alone doesn’t have to be the last of your savings potential. If you have never been on a cruise you will just have to trust me that you can get some very good deals on many products. Jewelry and art come to mind. This last cruise we were on offered plenty of jewelry, it is true the cruise lines own many of the outlets you will come across, but who cares? The discount deals are splendid.

Indeed, should you be given the opportunity to accept a last minute cruise deal, take full advantage!

Should you be concerned about that interior stateroom with no view – Nope. Spend all your time on the decks during the daylight and warmer weather. In the evening or in climate weather take in a show, have a drink in one of the many lounges or other event scheduled inside. At night sleep and you won’t even be bothered by the interior cabin.
