I wanted to write a family cruise review today because I know how much you would like to hear or read more cruise information on the subject. And taking a cruise is one perfect way for your family to get away, spend some great quality time together and enjoy one-anothers company.

There is so much to do on a cruise ship that it is actually difficult to know where to begin any review. The last ship I traveled on had quite a bit of area designated for children. Not only to provide daycare but kids activities too. Every ship will have a game room, library, Internet cafe, swimming pools and more to keep children entertained and parents need not worry about this aspect. Kids will have plenty to do.

What makes a family cruise ideal though is the time together. It’s much like a family exploration of new worlds when on a ship. You are confined yet still with plenty of room to enjoy time apart while experiencing the on board activities. And those activities are fantastic! Our Alaskan cruise was filled with dog guest speakers. Libby Riddles came on board to share her experience as the first woman ever to win the Iditarod. My wife has raced dogs before and she absolutely enjoyed the opportunity to hear this lady speak. I surprised my wife with a copy of Libby’s book, “Race Across Alaska.” What a treat!

Every port offers great adventure with land tours, city scenery and cultural activities. A wonderful way for children to learn about the world. Guided tours of forests, train rides and city sites are always available when in port. Take advantage of the opportunities available when you take your cruise.

And yes, the kids will find things to do while at sea. Every ship has an entertainment staff well prpared with activities for everyone. And what kid doesn’t like to swim? Pools are always open on board your ship too. Definitely consider a family cruise! Review the many cruise opportunities available simply by do a search online at any time. You are sure to find something your family will enjoy!
