Cruise Ship Jobs
If I were a younger man, single and without the obligations life has for me today I would definitely be looking into cruise ship jobs. I wouldn’t even think twice about taking the opportunity either.
It is true the staff on board cruise ships work 7 days a week with little time of for themselves. On this last cruise my wife and I took time to visit with many of those employed on the ship. The overriding theme was that the work was fun, lucrative and exhausting. Yes some complained how the work was just a job, that they needed to be working some where and the cruise idea seemed good at the time.
I suppose but if I were on one of those massive cruise liners I would be doing everything I could to advance my career by working hard, learning everything possible and volunteering for extra work. Given the opportunity I would turn it into a lifelong career.
A cruise ship job is the perfect way to meet people of many nationalities, work with many nationalities and of course, see the world. And make money with very little time to spend that money since you would be working most of the time. Plus room and board are provided which means more savings.
In time too one would be able to see sights while on shore excursions. This more than anything would make up for any sacrifice made working all the time. I mean, let’s face it, cruise operators are successful because they travel to some very exotic places. This would provide for relaxation for all of the long hours and days put in working. Often times employees can take land tours for free too. Just call these a bonus paycheck.
It is true, taking one of many cruise jobs would be a great deal of work. To me though well worth the time investment and labor involved. Here is some great information about Cruise Ship Jobs you might find more interesting for reading than my writing.
