Alaska Inside Passage Cruise
If you have read any of my other posts then you know I enjoyed my Alaska Inside Passage Cruise. I plan to once again take my wife on the very same cruise vacation just as soon as we can make the financial arrangements.
From the very first moment on board we both knew we had made the right decision to take this cruise. Of course, my wife being from Alaska played a big role in our decision. Prior to the cruise she had not been back in 35 years. I am so glad we had the opportunity to go.
The Inside passage is the most beautiful place I have ever seen on earth. Not that I am a world traveler by any stretch but I do recognize God’s beauty when right in front of my eyes. The mountains climb right up out of the ocean. You will see whales, sea lions, otters and yes, icebergs and glaciers. Naturally these sights are all outside. Which is where you will want to be when the sun is shining.
I’ve seen mountains. I’ve backpacked in the Bighorns, Rockies and the Black Hills. While these are spectacular in themselves they do not compare to the mountains along the Inside Passage. There is just something mesmerizing about the clouds hanging midway up the mountain side that instills a peace inside of you that is difficult to explain. As you stand there taking in the scenery, that peace comes from realizing how the God who created those mountains created you too and you know that you know God is in control.
Yes indeed, take time in your life to cruise the Alaskan Inside Passage. You will not regret the experience at all. In fact, I can promise that you will come back refreshed, relaxed and ready to go again. If that is the cruise staff can find you and get you off the ship when it is time to leave. Myself, I did not want to disembark for the final time. It was difficult to leave and yesI have decided to take the cruise once again.
